Electronic Security and Privacy: Expectations, Practice, and Prevention

Technology and the internet have radically changed how we work and interact with each other. They have improved our productivity, but also introduced risks of misuse regarding our privacy and security. We share information every day within a very complex system, composed of a large number of actors, such as enterprises, banks, online shopping sites, and social networks. Therefore, the problem of information privacy and security in such a system is a very complex and challenging one. Our IGERT considers this problem from several perspectives, including technology, human factors, healthcare, and so on, to promote safety and provide solutions that are usable by people.
